It's so much more engaging and immersive.Īs for the story/characters it was great. Hardened difficulty forces you to use cover, kill enemies wisely, make every shot count, use grenades and different weapons, use flanking maneuvers etc. I find that nowadays playing normal difficulty in CoD campaigns is quite boring because it's kinda easy just mowing down enemies. Veteran Difficulty was too insanely hard for me, so I played on hardened difficulty which provided an immersive and challenging experience. I heard a lot of great things about WaW's campaign so I went ahead and finished it. I'm a huge fan of CoD campaigns, I love the stories and intense moments told through them, I've beaten most CoD campaigns except the newer ones post 2016 but for some reason I completely forgot about WaW. World at War was actually one of the first FPS games I ever played in my life and it introduced me to keyboard+mouse controls and PC gaming, so this was quite special. I've just beaten it for the first time and I can't believe I haven't finished the campaign for WaW till now.
